[Nfb-krafters-korner] OT: Talking Thermostat

Currently, I have a  Kelvin Talking Thermostat in my home which works both
central air and heating. I  have had it for over 8  years. Other than
finding someone who knows  how to properly install it, I  have had little
problems. At one point, they sold them at Independence Market.

This past summer, I  had both units replaced. I  am now aware of VIP 1000
and 3000 as an alternative. I  am looking toward changing my Kelvin as I
need something new to go along with those new systems. I  have done a  small
amount of checking the VIP and am leaning toward changing over to it.

I understand there are a couple of different types of talking thermostats
available. Has anyone had one installed with central heating and air
conditioning and had good luck with it? I'm wondering the pros and cons of
installation and use of the various models and the best resources for
purchase. Would very much apppreciate hearing experiences with accessible
thermostats on or off list.
