I Love My Job!


I don't remember how I came across this top, but it's been stuck on my brain for a considerable amount of time! Here in our warehouse, it can get drafty, and an extra layer helps. GALE by Alica Plummer is available on Ravelry <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1055691680&msgid=31842797&act=43VZ&c=90940&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ravelry.com%2Fpatterns%2Flibrary%2Fgale-5> . GALE is hand knit in a bulky weight yarn. 

Besides the appeal of warmth, it might be the color that catches my eye. I love this green.



Cascade's 128 Superwash <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1055691680&msgid=31842797&act=43VZ&c=90940&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yarn-store.com%2Fcascade-128-superwash-yarn.html>  has a color like this. Lichen is almost identical. I also toyed with the colors of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Bulky <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1055691680&msgid=31842797&act=43VZ&c=90940&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yarn-store.com%2Flornas-laces-shepherd-bulky-yarn.html> . And couldn't make up my mind. Do I want something subdued, or shall I break out and go wild?? 

 





  




Then my mind went off in another direction. I'll do it on my Silver Reed LK150 <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1055691680&msgid=31842797&act=43VZ&c=90940&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yarn-store.com%2Fsilver-reed-lk150-knitting-machine.html> . Looks fairly simple, even though the pattern does not include the schematics. I will have to read through the instructions and deconstruct back to inches.


Decision made! I settled on a yarn. I'm going to use Cascade's 220 Wool <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1055691680&msgid=31842797&act=43VZ&c=90940&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yarn-store.com%2Fcascade-220-yarn.html> , in Lichen #9338. I stole a few hours out here and there, and so far I've got 2 swatches done, and the gauge determined. Now with pencil in hand, I'll do the math!
