Here are some books that I found on BARD that discuss making your own
cleaning agents and cleaning techniques.

This book is great.  She discusses all aspects of cleaning, decorating and
maintaining a home.  There is a good section on colors and how to put colors
together, which I found very helpful for other craft projects.
