Yes, that is correct.

Both parts are in print. I only have the reading part in braille. Like I said the cassette tapes damaged my radio/cd/tape player. The tape player part can no longer be used but the rest can.

I didn't know they could send it in digital format? I would like it in braille so I could make sure I am spelling the words right. Actually, I would love both since I learn from a combination of both ways. To hear the words and to try to read along with it.

I had to stop the lesson for a while because of health issues and now I want to finish and go to something else. I love Hadley but I don't like some of the formats they have to offer.

Thanks for the support line, I need to call sometimes.

I'm just reading this thread and not sure if I understand what you said in the original, Naima.  Are you saying you have a print book with the lessons for the writing part?  They didn't send you a digital cartridge to listen to in order to do the writing part?  ?  Did they send you a slate and stylus to do the writing?  And I think you mean the Braille Literacy 4 course which is for contracted braille.  I took the course last year.  

Hadley, I believe, is currently redoing the course and setting it up with UEB rules.  I can't understand why they wouldn't accommodate you except that the course isn't available right now.

I'd like to invite anyone who is interested to join the Office Hours group that Susan Fisher, a Hadley braille instructor, moderates on Tuesdays at 3:30 CDT.  The phone number is 712-432-5610 and the access code is 6658.  We meet for an hour and share braille and blindness related information.  We recently did a braille drawing given by Susan.  Sometimes we've had as many as 18 people on the call.  Come and join us.

     Naima, it is hard
 to believe the Hadley staff refused to accommodate  you.  The staff always goes out of their way to meet  the needs of the  students.  Call student services and talk to them.
