Hi Dotty,

I use a Tatrapoint at work mostly for brailling dymo tape labels for case
folders.  It has built-in brackets for holding the labeling tape.  When it
comes to rolling the paper in, it is very different than a Perkins brailler,
but once you understand how it is done, it should not be a problem.  The
keys are angled a bit differently than a Perkins brailler, but it has not
been a problem for me.  It is a very light weight device, but if I had to
carry it around I would want to carry it in the briefcase style carrying
case that it came in as there is no really good way to carry it around.

Hello,
I understand that the small slate with the notebook is still for sale. 
Unfortunately, I do remember the Lavender Braille writer. Has anyone seen
the Tatrapoint Braille writer? It is made in Slovinia, is supposed to be
lighter and more portable than the Perkins and costs about $400. 
I'm considering buying one but I would like to know from someone who has
tried it how well it works.
