[Nfb-krafters-korner] needle vs machine knitting

It has taken me a long time learning to loom knit.  The one thing I can say
after practicing for a long, long, long time.  I have made 2 or 3 hats on a
Cindy Woods Loom with 1/2"  peg spacing and can do it mindlessly.  I can
knit a lot faster with knitting needles.  I can fix my mistakes, dropped
stitches, etc with knitting needles.  

I am still having big problems taking the hat off the loom.  I just totally
ripped out another hat as when I was taking it off the loom it would not
gather up smoothly.  I need to say this hat is going to get smaller &
smaller due to in the ripping out I get yarn snagged and have to cut it out.
I have already made 2 hats out of this pink and white yarn and probably will
attempt making it again in a few days.

I am guessing if I could see the yarn, I would be getting sick of the same
color yarn.

I won't give up, but I am not anxious to learn more on the loom.

I actually picked up my circular knitting needles today an cast on to knit
mittens.  Well by the time I got up and walked 10 feet to feel in my
knitting supplies for the second circ, the dog grabbed my knitting off the
couch, dropped it on the floor  and chewed one of the needles off the
connector.  So much for me knitting mittens today.

Peg sends tail wags, and you're in our thoughts and prayers, too.

I can't loom knit to save my life. My tension is always too tight, and I've
been known to break pegs because of the tightness of it. Loom knitting is
faster than needle knitting, but I like the feel of the yarn and knitting
needles in my hands. If I made a mistake on a loom knitted piece, I wouldn't
even know where to begin to take it apart, or put it back on the loom.
