Keepsake Quilting has the quarter" tape. It is a thinner tape and you get a
large roll of it. It sticks well, easy to pull off and does not leave any
stickiness on the fabric.

The other thing that I got, but I would have to see if I can find the name
of the place I got it from. I am sure Keepsake Quilting would have it, too.
It is a plastic 1/4" square and it is maybe 10 or 12" long. This works well
especially for sewing straight edges. I also use quilting pins. They are
the longer ones with a plastic head on them.I want to say they are almost 2"
long[1 3/4" or 1 7/8"] They are sharp and will stay where you pin them.
For sewing machine users these pins are a must have, too, as they are long
enough and with the plastic ball on the end, easy enough to pull out the pin
when approaching the sewing needle.

I also am a supporter of the magnetic pin cushion and it comes with the long
quilting pins. The pins cling to it quite well.

What is tape called that some of you use as a guide when sewing? We talked
about it briefly for hand sewing our table toppers. If not this tape, what
do the sewers on list recommend to help with sewing a straight edge? Please
don’t just say follow the edge and make your stitches ¼ inch from the edge.
I have a terrible time making them this way so I obviously need a better
method until I have sewn enough to do it without a guide.
