[Nfb-krafters-korner] Want To Know Wednesday 8/2/17

I started out, in first grade, learning large print. In second grade, they started me learning braille.
I have been using braille, ever since. I love my perkins brailler and now, my Apex.
I use a braille display at work and at work, with my computer.
My Apex is in the shop and I feal like a deprived child, not being able to braille or look up something on the spir of the moment.
Before letting it go, I quickly wrote on my computer, phone numbers and other imfo I thought I might need.
Of course I did not get everything.
I have been relying on Terry K for phone numbers, or just e-mailing people!
This is the second time and I hope Humanwware can solve the problem. The people in VA could not find a problem and right after convention, it ete up part of an important document!!!

I am taking the entro class on UEB, from Hadley. I really do not think it is necessary to make these changes!
If it is not broke, don't fix or in this case, change it!
I have no trouble reading UEB, but with my epelepsi, I have to go over all my rules, before doing an assignment for Hadley!

As the say;

Braille Is Beautiful!

Terry P.

I have found braille to be a great thing to have when writing patterns.
I learned braille as a child when I attended the school for the Blind. Then I went to public school, and I tried to be "like them" and all but forgot about it.
When my vision started progressing in the mid-90's, a lightbulb came on in my brain that shouted... HEY, you know braille, you big dummy!!!
So, I had to re-familiarize myself with braille. I have taken braille as a part of my master's program but only feel comfortable teaching uncontracted to beginners, as UEB made things really complicated - what do I teach, the new way or the old way or both?

Happy Wednesday to everyone.

Let's talk about Braille today.

How many of you use Braille?

How did you learn it?

Do you know the whole code or just enough for labeling and such?

How do you use it in your everyday life?

Do you use it for crafting and if so how?

I look forward to reading all the responses.

Nella
