[Nfb-krafters-korner] A Sunday Question

Boy, here's an area I need work in. lol! My work station is my table by my
chair. The needle and sissors I use are laying on top of the table, extra
needles are inside the top drawer. I do have my yarns put together by
color. I have Brailled cards inside each bag. Yep, there are 20 dozen
varieties of blue. If I have gotten yarn for a specific project, the colors
are bagged together, then all the yarn that goes for that 1 project goes in
a larger bag.
I have a big variety of buttons. I got my niece to sort them by color, then
put them into a small Ziploc bag with a Braille label. All of those little
bags go into a larger bag.

For a travel project, I use those fabric shopping bags which contain all I
need to work on the project while I'm waiting somewhere.

I only have 1 pair of scissors that just get transferred. Having a smaller
pair for my travel bag would probably save me a little time.
Happy crafting!

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] A Sunday Question

Here is a question, I have and I am a long time crafter that I think new
crafters would have. This is a crafting question to the list, let's help
each other with crafting replies and build knowledge of our craft. Simple
answers and replies but if needed explanations there please reply.

I want to my crafting tool box Saturday and it was totally full of all kinds
of things. I want to improve it and want real suggestion of what we should
keep it the main box and then other boxes for specific crafting. Like the
notion bag for yarn work. Like how many crochet hooks do we really need and
should they be in the main box or the crochet box. I will start and hope I
get real good suggestions to clean out the junk.

Main Tool Box

1.Pencil or Pen or marker and 3 by 5 index cards

2.Scissors, what kind, should I have scissors for every craft box like
material scissors for fabric and another for paper? Is this an important
item in regards to cost?

3.What kind of measuring tool? Tape, braille, ruler, all or separate in
different boxes.

I want to be ready and organized to go as I need, but I am not and hope this
list might give me and other constructive ideas.

Terry Knox
