There has been a similar discussion on the big knit list about knitted rugs/mats.  The below came across on that list and I thought that some of you might want to look into this for your hand made rugs.  I have not used this product, just passing it along.

For those of you making rugs there is something called Saf-T-Back that you paint on the back of rugs to make them non-slip. I used it on some felted slippers with great results. It is washable and you can find it at K-mart.
