Henry if my Granny chases me, it will be in ghost form and that is even more
scary.  Actually I would love to encounter the ghost of my Granny, but I
think she passed to the other side peacefully.  Maybe my careless treatment
of her cherished furniture will be enough to bring her back.

Hey Nella, there isn't anything worse than a mad Granny or parents chasing
after you with that old whoopin belt in hand.

I want to thank all of you for the good wax removal ideas.  I was so upset
when I saw that wax splatter on top of the cabinet.  I could just hear
Granny scolding me for not being a good housekeeper.  She always kept a
perfect house and I'm afraid I don't dust her furniture as much as she did.
I also need to open the cabinet and clean all of her depression glass.  I
only do it about once a year I remember Granny opening the door and cleaning
the inside almost everytime she cleaned house, which was all the time.

Well, I have started major house cleaning since I'm having people over for
Christmas day, so I will make Granny proud yet. Lol

Nella, the colder the wax, the easier it is to remove.  I would set
something from the freezer on the wax for a while and then use a credit card
to pick up the wax.  A credit card should not scratch the wood.  Good luck.

I know this is off topic, but thought some of you might have some good
suggestions for me.



I spilled candle wax on top of a lovely little display cabinet that was left
to me by my Grandmother.  Do any of you have advice on how to get it off
without damaging the wood?



Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
