Below is Starter requested. This is Amish there are others you might try,
this is what I use, sorry if it is a little long. Great bread.

 

               AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD STARTER

 

GLASS BOWL METHOD LOOK BEFLOW FOR SECOND METHOD

Or plastic dish

 

1-cup flour

1-cup sugar

1-cup milk

 

Mix all items together in a glass or plastic container and follow steps
below.

Do Not Refrigerate

 

Keep securely covered from Day One through Day 10

Day One: Make or receive Starter.

Day 2: Stir and cover. Do Not use Metal Utensil.

Day 3: Stir

Day 4: Stir

Day Five: Add

Day 6: Stir

Day 7: Stir

Day 8: Let Stand, Do Not Stir.

Day 9: Let Stand, Do Not Stir.

Day 10: Make Friendship Bread. See following.

Do Not Stir or disturb until making bread.

 

METHOD 2, ZIP-LOCK FREEZER BAG

 

One half cup flour, regular or unbleached

One half cup white granulated sugar One half cup milk

Can use raw goat’s milk if desired

Day One: Mix all items and place in a one-gallon zip lock freezer bag. Make
certain zip is clean and comes together well. 

Day 2: Squeeze bag to mix well. Note: From day two, it might be necessary to
remove excess air from the bag once or twice a day. When doing this, be
careful not to disturb the starter.

Day 3: Squeeze bag.

Day 4: Squeeze bag to mix well.

Day 5: Squeeze bag to mix well.

Day 6: Add 2 cups flour. 1-cup sugar, and1 cup milk. Squeeze and mix well. 

Day 7: Squeeze bag to mix well and release excess air. Reseal, making
certain zip lock is dry and clean.  Your may have to leave air out before
squeezing bag. 

Day 8: Squeeze bag mix well, reseal, making clean seal again. 

Day 9: Squeeze bag, mix well, reseal, making another clean seal.

Let air out

Day 10: Make Friendship Bread Do Not Squeeze or disturb starter before
making bread. 

 

This Starter makes about four cups of new starter. Make any combination 1
loaf of Friendship bread and pass out 3 cups of starter. Make sure you keep
additional cup of starter for yourself out of this batch to make more.

 

 

Friendship Bread

 

Cinnamon

Sugar

1-cup oil

Three large eggs

½-cup milk

1-teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1-cup sugar

1 and ½ teaspoons baking powder

½-teaspoon salt

½-teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cinnamon

One box, large vanilla instant pudding   

One cup of baking raisins or soak raisins in hot water and drain well

1-cup flour

1-cup sugar

1-cup milk

 

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 

In a small bowl, make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. 

Chose to grease two loaf pans, one Bundt pan or a 9 by 13 baking pan. Grease
and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture reserving some for topping.  Loaf
pans are best for making this bread. Set aside.

Combine oil, eggs, ½-cup milk and vanilla in a large glass or nonmetal bowl.
Mix well. Add 2 cups flour, 1-cup sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda,
Sinnamon, pudding and raisins. Do Not mix when added to egg mixture. In a
separate glass, not metal bowl and using a wooden spoon, mix together, 1-cup
flour, 1-cup sugar; gradually add one-cup milk. Keep this mixture smooth.
Add Amish starter from plastic bag mixing in gently with a wooden spoon. Add
about 1 cup of this mixture into the flour raisin mixture. With wooden spoon
mix together well. Pour into prepared pans and sprinkle reserved topping
onto top of batter.  Bake for about one hour or until toothpick comes out
clean. Do not over bake. This bread freezes well. 

 

With remaining of starter. Place one cup into glass containers or plastic
bags. Keep one container for yourself and you may give two starters away to
friends with items suggested to make the Friendship Bread. 

 

One batch makes two loaves of Friendship bread in two loaf pans. One Bundt
pan or One 9 by 13 baking pan. 

 

Additions to make, if desired before baking batter.

Dates

Different pudding mix
