[Nfb-krafters-korner] Help With A Loom Knitting Pattern

Hi.

I am not a looming expert and have never done it, but here’s what I’d say about re-sizing.

Speaking from a needle-knitting perspective, you can re-size, but it would probably entail writing the whole pattern over and, if needed, re-working a pattern stitch so that you incorporate shaping correctly. You’d have to figure out how many inches (and fractions of inches) of stitches are added/removed as you shape. Obviously, you’ll also need to adjust your yarn quantity way upward to re-size, as well as buy more buttons/notions as needed.

It is a pattern for a sweater. It calls for a knitting board, but I am wondering if I can just use one side of a knitting loom because from my research that is what a knitting board is.

It is one of the front panels if that is any help. I have not looked at the rest of the pattern as of yet. If this pattern is too hard, am I able to take a baby sweater pattern and resize it to fit an adult or no?
> Here is the pattern attatched in a PDF document for both sweaters in case anyone is interested. I am trying to loom the one that is not the baby sweater, at least that is the one I am hoping to loom, but as I said, it is very complex with the needles and I do not understand what it means.
