See if your local church has a knitting group.  Ours does and we make hats for the homeless, blankets for those comeing back from war, at Walter read and baby blankets for the newly baptized!
We also make prayer shawls  and anything a person wants to contribute.
Also, my work had a box for the Red Cross, a few years ago.  I donated a few hats to them!
I have not looked, but I am sure there are chareties you can find, on the internet!

In the fall, this group could pick a cheraty and each make x number of hats!

This should be interesting. I have been interested in starting a hats for the homeless group and don't really know how to get organized. All I have done is start a Facebook page with no posts.

I can't believe that Wednesday is already here.  As you know Wednesday means I get to exercise my brain.  So, here are my thoughts for the day.



I thought we might get a little head start with Monday night's chat topic.
Next Monday Darian Smith from the community service group is going to tell us about the division and Its mission.  He's also going to talk about ways we can serve in our communities.



Do you volunteer in your community?



If so how?



How can we use our love of crafting to help others?



I feel certain that this is going to be a wonderful discussion.  I'm looking forward to reading my email today.
