Henry, not one time did I think about plastic index cards.
 That is a perfect solution.  I considered dymo tape, regular index cards
and even reusing the containers.  I didn't like any of them.  I will punch
holes in the card, thread a rubber band through and wrap around the box or
bag.  Thanks so much!

Hi Linda, maybe you could put the label on a plastic 3 by 5 index card and
secure it to the item with rubber bands.

Does anyone have a clever method of labeling freezer foods with the
penfriend?  I want to be able to reuse the label.
