Hi Serene,
I bought a set of circular looms, called Loops and Threads from Micheal’s.  I have found them nice to learn on and to work projects.  These have a groove and do not snag the yarn.    
Unsure of what might be available to you in Sinhapore, but there is a huge population around you, so likely you have some choices.
