If it is your plastic looms, I don't think it would hurt to soak them in warm soapy water with a splash of bleach, then rinse them well & allow to air dry. As for the CinDWood & KB looms, wiping them down with a Clorox wipe should be fine.

As for other tools, a good soaking in warm soapy water should be ok. Do not soak your wooden tools in any liquid!!!!!! Wiping them with a damp cloth or Clorox wipe should be ok.

If you have specific questions about cleaning your tools, contact the maker of the product if you know it.

Hi Beckie, Kevin and Sweet Jake Boy, you make a valid point about cleaning
off your crafting tools. I wash my hands before handling my tools, and
should get into the habit of wiping them off with a soft, dry cloth once in
awhile.
As for the looms, I would never ever use any kinds of furniture polishes or
cleaners on them because the oils in these products would get onto the
yarns. Do you agree or not Terry P, Cathy F, and Courtney?

Boo Hoo, all I hear are crickets, hehehe. Oh well, I was looking for a
crochet hook attached by a rope. Sorry names do not come to me any longer
with regularity. I found them both caked with dust. So, I wiped them off and
thought well that should be find now. But then I thought what do you all do
with tools that do not get attention for a long time. Then I looked at the
tools I do use a lot and realized heavens, I haven't washed or done anything
to them to keep them clean. There has to be a buildup of oils, food, from my
hands on my tools. So, what, maybe just good old fashion soap and water? Do
I need to clean my looms from year to year, lol, if you knew me, year to
year is a true statement as I don't think about cleaning or oiling or things
around here?

Guess I got this from my dad as I never saw him clean his tools. Oh, he
would oil them if they really needed it, lol. So, this lack of paying
attention to my tools was passed down and I would like to fix this.
Becky

Happy Wednesday to all of you crafters out there.

The very talented Becky F. provided this week's questions.

She wants to know:

What do you do to keep your crafting tools in good shape?

What are your tips to keep your knits in good shape?

I feel certain that these topics will get some good conversations going on
around here.

Please share your suggestions with the rest of us.

Also remember that I'm on the hunt for questions and you can get 25 points
if you submit questions that are chosen. The questions must be craft
related and if they have a specific answer you must provide the answers. I
will send you an email letting you know your question has been chosen and
will give you credit when I post Want To Know Wednesday.

You can submit questions by emailing me at jellybeanfarm at gmail.com
