By request I will give everyone the directions below on Pine Cones Starters.
Wonderful gifts for the holidays but uses hot wax, so use caution

   PINE CONE STARTERS

Ake a Basket full as a great gift.

Materials

Any shape pine cones

Paraffin, wax

Crayons for color melt, glitter and fragrance

Candle wicks

Melt can or something to melt wax in that is deep

Tongs for lifting cones

Old muffin cup for drying if desired

Directions

1. Collect your pine cones and place in a bucket with water and Epson
salt to clean overnight. Remove to allow to dry and use.

2. . When cones are dry and ready, arrange your materials. Melt your
wax in a can like coffee can or tomatoes can in boiling water. Do this slow.
When wax is melted place some crayon to melt in the hot wax and fragrance if
desired.

3. .Wrap your candle wick around the pine cone, from bottom or middle,
this is not needed it just burns better. Dip you pine cone into the wax and
remove it with your tongs. You may place it in the muffin tin to hold
upright or something else. At this time you may sprinkle the wax with
glitter, if using. Allow to dry. You may redid if you want, without glitter,
but not necessary.

4. .You now have colored, wax dipped pine cones and they look great
with the sparkle of glitter.

5. .Arrange in a large basket and present them to someone with a
fireplace or wood stove to start their fire. You make light the wick and
place a few in the fireplace and when they start they will give off a pretty
flame and a great fragrance, if using. The also pop colors as they burn.

Great, inexpensive give if you wrap the basket in tulle and place a pretty
ribbon on the handle and some instruction on use in the basket. Just use
caution with your wax, not difficult but you can drip and get burn. Enjoy
