If you are using a triangle loom you do not cut the yarn at all. You use a
continuous strand of yarn.

Is your loom shaped as a triangle. The hypotenus is across the top with
pegs or nails and the two sides go down forming a poit and the pegs are on
both side going to the point. So you are weaving on 3 sides, but working as
I said top to the point and working each side to the middle. No shuttle is
used and you do not have a beater with a triangle loom.

I think I have a shuttle but I don't know how to use it. What do you mean 30
inches? Should I be cutting it for every row?
Thanks
Daniella

Daniella, are you weaving with a shuttle? If so you need to unwind enough
yarn to get your shuttle completely through the threads or warp. It
shouldn't tangle unless you have yarn that is particularly difficult.
Thirty inches beyond the shuttle should be enough. You just have to do it
every time you pass the shuttle through, and that becomes pretty automatic.
If you have a beater bar, you should beat after every row, too and change
your thread supports. I forgot what they are called, but moving them up and
down makes the design. I would love to have one of those looms.
Ramona.

Hey all,
I have just started weeving on a rectangular loom. Anyways, the instructions
say to take out a lot of yarn, at least 2 yards or more. I take out what I
think would be 2 yards, but then it just gets tangled up and I have to stop
and untangle it. I'm not making progress with this at all. So heres my
question, how can I avoid taking out that much yarn, but be able to weev the
way it says to? If that's not possible, and I need that much yarn to make
the weeving work properly, how can I stop that much yarn from getting
tangled? Any help would be great!
Thanks all Daniella
