Crochet To Save The Ocean
Activism isn’t new to needle crafters, but one crocheter has taken huge strides to make a point. Artist Michelle Lougee has used thousands of plastic bags to crochet life-size marine animals as part of a project to raise awareness about the volume of plastic debris in our oceans.

Urban Crochet
Iranian artist Nargess Hashemi has reimagined urban spaces with her installation, “I will build a tall city interconnected by cul-de-sacs,” currently on display in Dubai. The futuristic take on urban planning features expansive crochet structures serving as colorful but soft interiors within the larger exhibit.
