I went to Amazon and searched for drop spindle, and found several between $11.29 and $29.50 or so. So there are lots of choices, and not really expensive. Some even come with a bit of wool and instructions. I have a drop spindle somewhere, but darned if I can remember where, or even the last time I came across it. Tracy
