I am a totally blind person and went blind in a blink of an eye.  

I was a crafting person before I went blind, but I had to start from the
beginning and learn how to do things without sight and just feeling it.

That is how this division started out.  I wanted to know how to do the
things I did before I went blind.

I have taken on some new crafting skills that I never did before, but I
started out with what I was familiar with.  I picked up my knitting needles
first and retaught myself how to concentrate on touch and feel.  

So 10 years of creating this Krafters Division and exploring how and putting
into words what the hands are suppose to be doing, I knit, crochet, weave,
sew, quilt, cut out and sew quilts,make candles, make soaps, lotions,I weave
baskets, cane chairs, do beading , worked with an antique sock machine, make
woven pot holders,and have taught other blind people how to do these things,
too.  I  almost forgot I have spent many summers up at a Girl Scout Camp
here in CT and taught sighted girls most of these things, too.

Do hang around here with these folks and they will teach, share and
encourage each other to have the attitude, Yes, you can"!
