[Nfb-krafters-korner] Knitting: picking up wraps

I'm working the heel of a sock in short rows, and it calls for wrapping
stitches on the turns, then picking up the wraps along with the stich they
wrap at the end.  I have a lot of trouble feeling the wrap in order to pick
it up.  Does anyone have a trick?  I usually end up just knitting the stitch
and ignoring the wrap, which works, but picking up the wrap would probably
be neater.
