The survey helped the nominating committee know who to put forth from the
committee. Unless there was some strong reason not to go with someone for a
position, then the nominating committee would put forth for nomination as
the members had voted. This was the best way we felt that we could
accomplish representing everyone (including those that could not attend
convention) and then let those that attend make the final vote knowing what
the desires of the whole membership are.

There was a survey created for people to vote according to their candidate
if you want to research it you might look on the archives somewhere around
the first part of June 2017. This was done because individuals did not feel
like they had a voice since the only people who could vote on board members
were the people who attended convention. I believe the question was posed to
Mr. Riccobono and he stated that only members present could vote but at
least completing the survey was giving people I voice.
