[Nfb-krafters-korner] please vote for me as treasurer at the NFB 2018 Krafters Division meeting

Hi all,

 

For those who missed the meeting I thought I'd let you know what I had to
say.

 

I volunteered to run for treasurer after I learned that a number of
positions had no one interested in running for them. I strongly felt that
Krafters Korner should continue so decided to do something to ensure that
this would happen. When I thought about it, I decided that the treasurer was
a position we could not do without. I did not want Krafters Korner to
dissolve due to lack of officers. Being a member of this division has been a
wonderful experience for me. I have learned many new crafts from others, and
became motivated to teach myself some crafts so I could share them with
others. I have made a number of good friends. 

As for my qualifications, I have kept financial information for my food
service locations from 1984 through 2004. I have also managed my personal
bank accounts online ever since it became available at my bank which was
probably around 2000. I know how to deposit transfer and withdrawal money as
well as send money out to individuals and businesses. I use excel just about
every day. I feel confident that I will be able to fulfil this
responsibility.

At the meeting I was asked whether I would be able to fulfill the entire
2-year term. I answered that I had no doubt about this. I fulfilled my term
as secretary, and have followed through with all of the classes I agreed to
teach. I have been a loyal and active member of this division since 2011 and
hope to continue as a member for many years to come.
