[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Really confused about how to do the long tail cast on.

HI.

maybe someone can jump in and explain it better or correct any mistakes.  My mum taught me, and so maybe there is a better way.

1. leave a long enough tail to form the number of stitches you need. This can be a bit hard to figure out at first. You do learn to estimate how much you need though.
2. rap the yarn around your thumb.
3. place the needle in the loop.
4. rap yarn around the needle and pull the loop through.
keep repeating 
I haven’t done a long tail cast on for ages and ages, so am explaining from memory.
