Berneice, these can be done by knitting or chrochet.  I aldso have one with
the loop made of fabric.  You can probably figure out how to make the loop
become narrow enough to hang.  I think they look and last better if the loop
doesn't stretch too much.  That means double yarn or very heavy yarn.  If
you are not afraid of sewing, you can sew it on with a sewing needle  either
as you begin or after it is made..

I only crochetbut Iinsert a very small hook through the terrycloth, yo
the thread and pull it through the fabric.  I don't know if that is
helpful or not.  If I come across something, I'll let you know.
