[NFB-Krafters-Korner] New Year's resolution--crafting

Once I finish the pink sweater I’m crocheting for my sister-in-law’s birthday, I’m going to see if I have enough scrap yarn, of whatever color or combination thereof,  to construct another for my mom for next Christmas, instead of going out, sight-unseen, to buy more yarn that will eventually be added to my scrap-yarn collection! So, as a total who has limited knowledge of color blending, could someone list 2-3 colors that might go well together and a simple way to use them in a sweater? I’ve also had limited experience with using multiple colors in some projects, though have worked very successfully on granny afghans requiring different combos; H’mm, maybe I’ll do a throw for her instead, on that granny idea! At any rate, I am going to use my scrap yarn for SOMETHING this year...
