Hi Terry,

The Celtic Knot stitch is super easy. Now, whether or not it looks like a celtic knot, I'll have to take someone's word for it. It is super easy. Essentially, row 1 of the stitch pattern is all purl stitches. Row 2 of the pattern is alternating knit purl, knit purl. The third row of the pattern is all purls again. That's all! You want to set off the pattern with a few knit rows like 3 or 4. apparently this makes the pattern more prominent.

The ponytail hat is fun and apparently a trendy thing these days. Instead of gathering the top of a hat and closing it, you leave a hole big enough for a ponytail to be threaded through. thread stretchy cord around the opening so that there is some stretch for hair to go through. Because I color the ends of my hair pink and purple, it looks fun for my tail to come out of my hat!

I made it from a black Bernat blanket yarn and the texture is super cool. There may be aright and wrong side, but I like both sides because the textures are really cool. Any ways ... Here's the link:

I currently plotted out a baby blanket for my nephew-to-be using the celtic knot stitch. The border is in blue and I'm making stripes in blue and red. the stripes are just row clusters of the celtic knot stitch. Here is the link with about a dozen more stitches:
