I would like to have a little challenge. Anyone who crochets, and is comfortable doing so, can you explain the double crochet stitch? How do you do it?

I know how to do the double crochet but depending on a lot of factors I still have this little saggy bit of yarn. It’s one little piece of yarn that is in front of the post. I believe it is the first yarn over but I’m not 100% certain. If I’m thinking very loose thoughts, and very tall thoughts, and if I don’t tighten anything, I can produce a very pretty double crochet stitch. Needless to say, this is not all of the time. So I’m curious… How do you make your double crochet?
