While I applaud your ingenuity, I have read on the Internet that T-shirt fabric in linen are not effective at all to use as a facemask because the fabric is too loosely woven. You should use fabric that is tightly woven, as tightly as possible. I have read that non-fusible interfacing is a good layer between two layers of fabric.
 Flannel can be a good fabric to use against the face. While none of these homemade facemasks are as good as the professionally made ones with the proper filtration built into them, they do say that some of them are better than nothing at all. There is a lot of information out on the Internet and the New York Times also has some different patterns to make. Hope you all are staying safe and taking good care of yourselves. Happy Easter! Deb
