Annette so great to hear from you! I wondered where you had gone. Glad to know you’re still knitting along with us!

Hi Ari, For quite sometime now I have been just a lerker here on the list. I would be happy to speak with you over the phone and get you started with casting on. I've taught many classes on various levels of knitting and other yarn crafts here at Krafter's Korner, so I am confident I can get you up and going in 30 minutes. The only reason I have stopped teaching classes here is my schedule is just not currently conducive to keeping up with e-mails, and meshing my calendar with Krafter's Korner calendar. If you want to take me up on this, write me off-list at amcarr1 at verizon.net HTH, Annette -----Original Message----- From: NFB-Krafters-Korner On Behalf Of Ramona via NFB-Krafters-Korner Sent: Sunday, March 15, 2020 12:17 PM To: Ari via NFB-Krafters-Korner Cc: Ramona Subject: Re: [NFB-Krafters-Korner] Knitting project bags. Ari, I use a two handled canvas bag with a zipper. I have seen them with pockets on the inside and the outside. Pretty simple, but it works. It doesn't stand up by itself, but it is very flexible. I usually have three or four with various stuff in them. Another thing I like about canvas bags is that they usually are large enough for full-size Braille paper and small books. If you don't get your cast on problem solved before it get quarantined, toy a one to one phone conversation. That's how I learned, and I have taught others by phone. But I am sure that others on this list could also help. I don't like the idea of not being able to take my project out of the bag if I wanted, and with these types of bag, you're totally stuck using that bag for only that project--the only way to remove the project is to cut the yarn. > > I've heard of Erin Lane bags, which I think use a drawstring closure, but I'd like some more options. I'm just not understanding any of it. Luckily, the local library, which is about a mile from my house, has a knitting group on Fridays. I'm hoping they can help me get started. :) I think when I finally understand what to do, I'm going to try writing tutorials on my own blog. I've only posted a few entries, and they're super old, but maybe, if I do this, they can help someone who's instructionally challenged like myself.
