Good Morning Jewel, first of all, welcome back to the group. How about knitting or crocheting? I do believe that these crafts have been around since the middle ages. I know that knitting was done by ancient mariners who knitted to mend their nets or to pass the time on long sea voyages. I know spinning and weaving have been around for millennia. A drop spindle is easy to get, and not real expensive. I think people in the Middle East have been knitting for a long time, but not sure when it came over to Europe. Pottery has been around a very long time, too, and so has wood carving and leatherwork.
