Oh, Tracy, thanks!  I'm not on Revelry, but I'll go try to get on there.
I'd like to do that one.  I'd like to have it done by next wintertime.
Sometimes, you can pick up stitches around the top of a sweater and do a
hood if you ever had to do one for someone else.  <g<

I've knitted quite a few cardigans in the round.  No sewing required.
There are instructions how to make up your own cardigan pattern in Knitting
from the Top, available in braille from BARD.
Or, I just knitted the Big Sister cardigan from a pattern I got on Ravelry.
It's lovely, and has pockets.  No hood, but I hate hoods, so never look for
anything with one.

Wow!  I wish it was knit!  I'd like to find one like that.  I wish I could
find one that was a cardigan, but I know I'd have to sew or crochet it
together, and that won't be me.  <g<

I want a sweater with a hood and pockets.

And also a pullover; I made a coat once, and we had a little yarn shop where
you could get things "finished".  It was nice, but rather heavy!

Thanks for your good suggestions.  The sweater pattern began at the bottom
and is worked in one peace.  I ran out of yarn a little passed the underarm.
The sleeves and about 11 inches from the shoulders will require a different
yarn.

Linda, I made my daughter a red sweater at Christmas time, but not enough
yarn. Skeins were smaller than I had calculated. I made a black part around
the shoulders and black sleeve bands at end of sleeves. If your sleeves have
not been done you could make them in the contrasting color. My daughter
liked what I did. I gave her a choice of white or silver gray, but she chose
black. Of course the neck band is also black and buttons are black. Nobody
knows it was going to be totally red. If you have already ripped it out, you
can start over, but I do not like to do that, so try to find other ways.
