[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Labeling squares

My new project is knitting a blanket made of 20 picture squares.

I'd like to label the squares, so I know what I've got in my hand when it
comes time to assemble the blanket and sew/crochet it together.

I'm thinking I could braille a label on a bit of card, then poke a hole in
it, put on a twist tie, and put the twist tie through an edge stitch on the
square.

What I'd really like to do is figure out how to write in braille knitting
right in the square, if there's space. I've never done it, but it should be
possible with knits and purls. I think it would take 6 rows though, so as
to separate the dots, so there might not be room.

Any better ideas for labeling my squares?

Tracy
