[NFB-Krafters-Korner] whatcha making

I'm also making a large hot pad on a wooden peg loom that you string, and
then tie off each intersection. I am making it out of the red, white, and
blue cotton yarn I have used for several dishcloths. I'm thinking it will
make a nice present to give the large hot pad, dishcloth and a couple of pot
holders. The hot pad takes quite a lot of hand strength, so I can't work on
it for too long at a time. You have to keep a lot of tension on the yarn
while stringing it, and the knots have to be tight. I really like the
results though, so it is worth it. I have had this loom for probably 45
years. It broke, and so I put it away. Then my fantastic handyman replaced
two of the pegs, and put in two screws at each corner to hold the corners
together. Now if it breaks, I will have to buy a new one. I forgot over the
years, how to string it, but my son-in-law found it online for me. I am very
blessed to have these guys as resources.

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of making 2 shawls, a seashell afghan, a chemo cap, and
something else I can't remember.

The chemo cap is for a friend of mine who attends the church I listen to
through TV. She's always been very nice to me and I wanted to send her the
chemo cap. One of the shawls is for a friend of mine and the other is for
me--a long story. The seashell is for my granddaughter, and the bear cloth
is for a lady who teaches a Bibble study class.

I don't work on these every day, but thery're the ones I'm trying to get
finished.

Ladies once again this list is for crafting. If there is something about the
group that you don't like or would like to see changed the place to express
your thoughts is to the roses and thorn email list. Personally I'd like to
hear about what everyone has been working on. This week I made a dog print
lap blanket which I knitted up. There are 6 plain cream squares, 6 light
brown small dog print squares, 6 yellow medium paw print squares and 6
medium brown large paw print squares. Once I finished knitting all the
squares I hand sewed them all together into a nice pattern. Now I'm
attempting to knit a doily and thinking of sewing a loom flower that I
learned last week on the outer edge of the doily if the flowers don't look
to big.

Did you know sadly several schools have band rainbow bracelets due to it
being a distraction
