Hi Deb,
I made a crescent shawl, and didn't care for it, so I tore it all out. I
made the shape of the pattern up, and used the feather and fan pattern in
it. I learned some good things when Cathy F helped me with the crescent
shawl. I used some of the concepts when I designed mine. I should finish it
within the week.
Saturday is our chapter's summer party, and Heather and I are cooking for 27
people. We will have 16 items to build taco bowls, 3 people making salsa for
a contest, and 2 cakes Heather dreamed up. So after Saturday, I can get back
to the shawl.

Currently, I'm working on a shawl and I just started making gloves using
double pointed needles.

I made a set of kitchen items for my son-in-law's mother because she has
been so helpful to our family. I made 2 dishcloths, 2 pot holders, and 1
large hot pad in blue. I just have to sew the ends together  for the ppot
holders and tuck in yarn ends.
I'm almost finished with my made up pattern for my friend's feather and fan
shawl. And also almost finished with a afghan.
I'm ready to search through my stash for the colors to make a lighthouse
afghan and the reindeer. My pony beads should arrive tomorrow so I can make
the loom wreath. Not to mention Dixie's dishcloth. I like to keep lots of
different projects going, because I get bored.

What is everyone working on. I just finished a baby blanket last night and
made a hat to match it. Also I've been gardening every day, but when I come
in the house to take a break from the heat I've been making little pony bead
necklaces and matching bracelets for girls 5 to 9 to send to Operation
Christmas child.

 

Did you know 35% of all candles in America are sold during the Christmas
holidays
