[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Addi-clicks warning

Hello, Tracy and Everyone,
If your Addi needles are becoming uncoupled, most likely your coupling
is not exactly right. Push the needle point into the cord end until it
goes past the spring in the cord end. Then turn it so it doesn't
uncouple. Then give it a little pull to make sure it is secure. I've
been using my Addi clicks for about 7 or eight years and they have seen
many sweaters. I never had a problem until this morning when the catch
on one of my #10 needles gave out and uncoupled. It won't stay coupled.
I know the problem is the needle tip because I tried the same cord end
with two other needle tips and it was okay. I'm about to find out how
Addi's lifetime guarantee works.
There was a comment on this thread about a cord key. Addi doesn't use
one because of the click system.
I will have to finish my sweater with an old circular needle. It's the
K120, Textured Cardigan, pattern from the Bookstop at Blind Mice
Megamall, which should really be called the Knitted Tapestry Cardigan
because it has a house, 6 trees and 2 clouds on it.
Dotty
