[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Another knitting question

Hi Maryann, I am knitting a bulky scarf too.
I just left myself a long enough tail of the old skein of yarn, and wrapped
the new strand around the needle and started the next row of knitting.
I held onto both strands of yarn to maintain tension.

I am knitting the scarf using bulky yarn and I need to begin using another
skein of yarn How do you change from one skein to another? I have tied the 2
ends together but that doesn't seem like a great idea with bulky yarn.
