Hi tracy,

I know that Hershners has a no-peel worsted yarn but I can't remember the name of it. I think I have a skein of it somewhere. They may have some more no-peel yarns but I'm not sure.

Hi Ericka.
Acryllic yarn will make a nice blanket, if the yarn feels nice. Used to be acrylic yarn felt a bit plasticky, scratchy, like that, but these days it can be lovely. Sometimes it can pill, but I haven't had that happen myuch.
The advantage to acrylic is it's easy to wash, so I especially like it for baby things. And people who are allergic to wool aren't allergic to acrylic.
So have fun with your blanket!
Tracy

What is appropriate for a Kerlick yarn to be used for? I know that the different kinds of yarn have to be treated differently like Wolf for example. I have some really cool colors in a Kerlick that I want to make a patch blanket or something out of. They are natural, Denhm, and Woodland. So you can guess One color is blue, one colors kind of a yellowish cream and the other is not green, but more of a rust so it is a reddish orange pink. Not variegated with all three colors but it’s like all the mixed together to what they call Woodland.

Even if we’re not going to technically do the project tonight can you call Lynn just to hear how a class works? I don’t have any green yarn but I do have the smaller roundloom. It sounds fun! I forgot who to contact to get the membership for people who are dirt poor. :-) If you’d respond with that again or send it to me off-line that would be great.

Ericka Nelson
