[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Crafting from nature

When I was taking pottery classes, we made bowls by pressing leaves into
slabs of clay, then cutting around the leaf. We put several leaves into a
bowl form, arranged so that there weren't any cracks. When the bowl was
fired, the leaf burned away. They were really neat. I still have one, and
I gave others away. Think I might even have sold one.

Cathy thank you for sharing about your experiences with crafting from
nature. Has anybody else made anything from items they have picked up on a
walk. I can remember making owls out of pine cones.
Did you know buying a hand made craft is like buying directly from the maker
. Every hand made craft shares a story and it adds and interest to it's
self.
