I’M NOT A FAN OF HATS (ALTHOUGH, LIVING IN THE NORTHEAST AND HAVING TO SPEND TIME OUTSIDE WAITING FOR RIDES, I *DO* WEAR ONE), BUT WHAT I CAN SEE OF THAT SWEATER, IT’S **BEAUTIFUL**!

SINCERELY,
RUTH

Of course, The Caron Simply Soft yarn is made to be--well,soft. It is lighter in weight than the Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn, coming in at 20 knit stitches to the inch, while the Pound of Love has a gauge of 18 stitches to the inch. The Pound of Love is a bit more tightly twisted, giving it a somewhat harder surface, which probably makes it wear better. In any case, I plan to buy more Pound of Love yarn and knit another sweater soon and you know where that other sweater is going to end up.
