[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Is it a darning needle or a toothpick?

I had the funniest experience today. No the funny part was not Ericka falling out of the house landing flat on her face because of ice.

I took the bus out to Walmart today. Grabbed a bunch of things that were needed and one of them was more plastic darning needles with the big eye. Houses eat them you know and sometimes you break them in half. Well when I went to check everything out I had a nice person help me do the automated scanning and paying deal. I told him that since there was a lot of little stuff we could put some of it in my backpack. So when my four packages of plastic needles came up he said do you want these toothpicks in your backpack or in a bag with other stuff? I don’t know what to say without trying to laugh. I just said oh those blue things with the hole in the top? Those are the needles I was  telling you could go in my backpack. He took it all in stride but it sure made my day. It’s not every day a blind person recognizes some thing a sighted person doesn’t especially when they can read the package.
