I think the most memorable Christmas was around 94. I think we had survived
a difficult ice storm that had left us and many more without electricity.
We had 2 things in our favor.  My brother-in-law had a generator.  He
brought it and plugged in the Christmas tree and a floor lamp. The 2nd good
thing was that we cooked with gas stoves and had a gas hot water heater.  My
Mom dug out her candle collection and had them lighting up the
kitchen/dining area.  That was so beautiful!!

I had some friends who weren't as lucky, so they were invited to join us.
We had such an awesome Christmas Eve!

Makes me smile thinking about it!
