Henry,

How interesting that you are related to Sir James Barry. Like almost everyone else, I fell in love with ‘Peter Pan’. Do you write stories?  If so, what is your genre?  I would love to read some of your writings.

I have always loved learning about English history.  I have read several series about naval officers from Cornwall.

Hi Mary, yes, my Family whose last name is Collins came from Penzance, Cornwall, and, they came to America in the 1930’s.

I also learned a long time ago that my Great Grand Uncle is Sir James M. Barrie from Scotland. That might explain why I enjoy writing and did so well in English Literature classes all through school.

My Irish family surname was Coates, sometimes spelled as Coats.  I totally agree with your sentiments.  As I have ancestors from several northern European countries, I always say my genetics are a Heinz 57 blend.  I am proud of this.  Just wish I knew more about my family ties.

I learned today that my roommate at the Colorado Center is Jewish.  I have always been interested in learning more about the requirements for keeping a Kosher kitchen and in learning some Jewish recipes.  I am looking forward to this opportunity.  Maybe, she will learn something interesting and valuable from me

I know some of your ancestors were from Cornwall.  Do you know the particular city?  When did your family immigrate to America?

Hi Mary, what is your Familys Surname if you don’ mind my asking please? Oh, and not all Irish or Englis or Scotch people are always going around looking for a fight as is depicted either.

I also can’t stand the hatred shown to others just because of their gender, races, colors or religions or ethnicities. People are people.

Thankfully, not all Irish are drunkards.    I was enchanted by the children.  They were so cute  and polite.  I loved learning more about the Irish history.  As my family surname is rather common, I could not do more research without a better thread with which to work.   Oh well(deep sigh).

That sounds like a lot of fun! Someday I wish I could go to Norway. That’s where my ancestors came from. I missed my opportunity 20 years ago when my parents, aunt and one of my sisters went. I don’t recall why I didn’t get to go.
