Good Morning Friends

The executive officers and board members of the NFB of Michigan thank everyone for their participation and attendance at our quarterly state board meeting yesterday. As promised, here is a restated update on our exhibit hall activities.
Table Logistics
Our exhibit hall table is registered and the necessary state sales tax forms have been submitted. The exhibit hall will run from Wednesday, June 6 until Saturday, June 9. The exhibit hall is located in the Sheraton, which is the overflow hotel across the street from the Marriott, where the main general session and other activities are located. The following items will be sold at the exhibit hall table:

  *   NFBMI 50/50 Raffle Tickets ($5 each/ three tickets for $10
  *   Chocolate-Cherry Coffee 12oz bags ($12 each/ two bags for $20)
  *   Cell Phone Lanyards ($12 each/ two for $20
Note: There is a mix and match option for the lanyards and coffee, so purchasing one of each will secure the $20 deal. Our raffle will be conducted using an electronic ticket system, adding ease and speed for people in the exhibit hall that don't have much time. For more information on participating in the raffle, please contact a member of the fundraising committee or me at (269) 216-8640.

Working the Table
Yesterday, we confirmed that the table will need people to work shifts and sell the items. This is a team effort that our affiliate has always fulfilled and usually exceeds expectations. Working the exhibit hall is a wonderful way for you to meet guests, other affiliate members working, and vendors that may stop by. It is also the way that first-time attendees get to learn about what traditional items states usually sell each year (Louisiana's spices, Virginia's peanuts, Michigan's coffee). So please, if you are interested in working a shift and meeting some new people, respond to this email directly or give me a call to register for a shift. Here are the rules for working the table:

  * All shifts are two hours long.
  * All shifts are worked by two people at a time.
  * Any affiliate members receiving assistance from the affiliate is required to work at least one shift.
  * All people working a shift must work the entire shift.

Here are the dates and times that shifts are currently available. Remember, if you are by yourself when reserving I will match you with someone else so that you do not work the table alone.

Please let the fundraising committee know if there is any questions you have about the exhibit hall table and please encourage people to visit us in person. After the official table assignments are released by the national office, I will be sure to share that information with this list.
