[NFB-Muslims] Albright Heather: notes for april 4

Asalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
Inshallah, these are the notes for the  April 4 meeting. I apologize if I did not spell everybody’s name correctly. and if I left something out. 

4/04/2021 time 5 pm cst,
6 members attended Tasmin,  Abdullah, Reem, kalthum, Yasmine, Heather. 
Abdullah   talked about the calendar about the major Islamic  Holidays to have the days to reflect the global and the local dates and that it is based off the  lunar calendar.
Heather will talk to Tom Anderson to see if he wants to join us that we should be represented as a faith group and if he needs to have resources about Islam,
Heather and Yasmine,  will work on Islamic organizations to be more accessible most notably Muhsen  has been mentioned their site is :
https://muhsen.org/.
we wanted to see if we can give them resources to help them in this. Reem mentioned about the language  barriers as most sites are run by Arabic speaking network admins.
 Tasnim will be presenting on the Presidential address tomorrow, April fifth eight pm. est. She will try to get the time for our meeting for next week. She noted we might start to meet every other week or twice a month.
