Education Assistant

Performs instructional tasks in classroom to assist licensed teaching staff.
High School diploma/GED and NM Public Education Department Level 3 licensure
will be required.  Background/experience in working with
visual/multiply-impaired students is preferred.  Full-time position will be
required to become Braille proficient.  Full-time, 9-month position for the
2017-2018 school year.  Applications accepted until filled.

 

 

Residential Life Assistant

The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is currently
recruiting full-time/part-time Residential Life Assistants.  These
individuals are required to provide individual and group guidance services
related to scholastic, educational, personal hygiene and social skill
development to students who are blind/visually impaired, with/without other
impairments.  One part-time nine month graveyard position available: 1:00 am
to 7:00 am and one full-time nine month evening position: 3:30 pm to 11:30
pm.  Graveyard shift provides vigilant supervision and assists with morning
hygiene.  Must remain awake for all shifts.  Evening shift will be required
to become Braille proficient. Applications accepted until filled.
