The National Federation of the Blind of New Mexico has established a number
of committees to plan for and support our upcoming 2018 state convention, to
be held April 19-22, 2018 in Albuquerque. Each of these committees has a
chairperson assigned, and they need members who are willing to serve and
work to carry out the work of the committee. If you are interested in
serving on any of the state convention committees described below, please
contact the committee chairperson directly to express your interest.
The Registration Committee processes all registrations for the convention
and staffs the registration table at specific times during the convention.
The chair for this committee is Sarah Villavicencio, and she can be reached
by email at sarahrv at hotmail.com or by telephone at 505-550-4220.
The Public Relations Committee will write and distribute press releases
about our upcoming convention and develop other opportunities designed to
publicize the convention and the work of the National Federation of the
Blind of New Mexico. ShaRon Dandy has agreed to chair this committee.

collects items to be sold during the auction and coordinates the auctioning
of the items. The co-chairs of this committee are Michelle Chacon, who can

committee. She can be reached via email at lisag524 at icloud.com.
Resolutions are policy statements of the National Federation of the Blind of
New Mexico. The Resolutions Committee reviews these policy statements and

convention who will be of interest to the membership, to tell them about the
opportunity to exhibit at the convention, and to get exhibitors organized in
the exhibit hall during the first day of the convention. Urja Lansing
chairs this committee. Urja can be reached by email at urjalansing at q.com or

on the committee in which you have expressed interest.
