This year, the Albuquerque NFB chapters will be holding an essay-writing
contest in honor of White Cane Awareness Day. There will be one student and
one adult winner chosen. Winning essays will be read, and fabulous prizes
will be awarded at the White Cane Banquet on October 12, 2019.

To enter, please submit your essay with this entry form no later than
October 1, 2019. Entries can be emailed to Caroline Benavidez at
crounds1 at msn.com or mailed to Caroline Benavidez,6928 Hawkwatch Rd. NW,
Albuquerque, NM 87114. Entries will be accepted in print or Braille. 

IF MY CANE COULD TALK, IT WOULD TELL YOU ABOUT THE TIME.
	Write about a real incident in which using your cane or guide dog
made a difference. 	Accounts could 	include an adventure, a victory, an
encounter, an attitude change, etc.
